FAQ
How do payments work?
Vendor's Table creates and tracks the order, but does not process money. Buyers send payment directly to the seller using PayPal Goods & Services only.
What happens after an order is created?
The seller sees the buyer's PayPal username, shipping details, selected cards, and total. The seller then confirms direct payment, ships the order, and the buyer can rate the vendor after delivery.
What photos are required?
Each listing must include at least one close-up photo of the front and one close-up photo of the back. Any visible damage, wear, scratches, whitening, dents, or other flaws must be shown with additional photos.
How should condition be listed?
The listed condition must match what the photos show. Sellers should use condition notes to call out flaws directly, especially when a card is below Near Mint.
Can sellers list graded slabs?
Yes. The prototype supports raw cards plus PSA, TAG, and Beckett BGS slabs, including grade and certification fields.
What shipping options are shown?
The cart currently supports PWE via USPS for $1 and BMWT via USPS for $5, so buyers can see the total before moving to PayPal.
What should buyers compare?
Listings include TCGPlayer and PriceCharting links so buyers can compare recent market pricing before making an offer or purchase.
Still needed before launch
Real accounts, database storage, image hosting, order status controls, notifications, moderation/reporting, terms/privacy pages, and production hosting still need to be built before this can operate as a real marketplace.
Trust and policy
Marketplace safety rules
Terms of use
Vendors and buyers must use accurate listing information, honest condition photos, respectful messaging, and complete order details. Listings, messages, or accounts may be removed if they are misleading, abusive, fraudulent, or unsafe.
Privacy policy
Buyer contact, PayPal username, and shipping details should only be used to complete the specific transaction. Vendor's Table should store only what is needed for orders, messages, ratings, moderation, and account security.
Reports
Buyers and vendors should be able to report suspicious listings, inaccurate condition claims, harassment, non-shipment, payment issues, counterfeit concerns, or other unsafe behavior for review.
Dispute guidance
Vendor's Table can help organize order records, photos, messages, and shipping details, but payment disputes should be handled through PayPal Goods & Services and the shipping carrier when applicable.
PayPal G&S only
Buyers should never use Friends & Family, cash apps, wire transfers, crypto, gift cards, or off-platform payment requests. Direct payment should be PayPal Goods & Services only.
Admin moderation
Admin moderation tools should be restricted to the website host and any appointed moderators. Vendors and buyers should not have access to admin review queues, enforcement tools, private reports, or platform-wide account controls.
